Food at The Crown is New Southern – we take old favorites and make them our own!
Our menu is filled with Salads, Sandwiches and our yummy Main Dish Specialties that change weekly.
Eating at The Crown is a unique experience and Delta tradition that generations of Mississippians and their guests have enjoyed The menu has expanded some since 1976 when we opened in the cotton field north of Indianola, but the quality and service filled with our dripping Southern hospitality has never changed.
Just to make you hungry… Waitresses serve round loaves of bread hot from the oven, to make you feel welcome. The Catfish Allison comes to the table browned and bubbling. The Berry Bar-B-Que Chicken Sandwich is new, healthy, and yummy! The Dessert Table invites you to have “a bit of each” of the six pies, the Pavlova and English Trifle. You won’t go away hungry from The Crown Restaurant!

Catfish Allison
Poached fillet of U.S. Farm-raised Catfish fillet gratineed with a Parmesan Cheese, butter and green onion sauce. Lovely nutty butter flavor.
Chicken Allison
The same delicious butter smothering a chicken breast, served browned and luscious over rice.
Creole Catfish Cakes
U.S.Farm-raised Catfish flakes mixed with green pepper, onion and bread crumbs, patted into cakes and sautéed (think crab cakes) then topped with Suddenly Peach Salsa! Yum!
The Crown’s Royal Sandwich
Thinly sliced roast beef with melted Swiss cheese on New Orleans French Bread
with Taste of Gourmet’s Jezebel Sauce and your choice of Potato Salad, Potato
Chips, Vegetable Salad, Mama’s Cole Slaw or a Side Salad.
World’s Best Catfish Salad Plate
Original at The Crown! Catfish fillets cooked in crab boil mixed into a very light “better than seafood” salad! Served with Side Salad plus Slaw, Potato or Vegetable Salad and warm slices of our freshly baked breads.

Large bowl of Soup or The Crown’s Chicken and Sausage Gumbo served with our delicious breads.
Great Grilling Chicken Salad
Romaine lettuce topped with chicken sautéed in Great Grilling Marinade with thinly sliced red onion, tomato, Crispy Crumbles and Vidalia Onion Dressing served with Feta or Parmesan cheese.
